Kerri Kennewell is an artist based in lutruwita/Tasmania who’s practice explores our relationship with nature, in particular the ocean and animals, the need to respect these essential elements of the ecosystems upon which we all rely.
Since completing a Bachelor of Arts (Visual Arts) and Graduate Diploma (Arts Education) at the University of Newcastle in 1990, Kerri has enjoyed a diverse career spanning a number of industries, including nearly a decade as an accomplished secondary school art teacher in coastal NSW, and running successful real estate agencies with her husband, Ray, over the past 20+ years. She is a skilled artist and arts educator, exhibiting with the renowned Novocastrian gallerist Anne Von Bertouch, and has works held in private collections.
Along with her full-time art practice, Kerri runs Art Meets, hosting art classes and workshops on the east coast of lutruwita/Tasmania.
